Made with authentic New Mexico Red Chili. Uncle Mabe homesteaded in the beautiful El Morro valley of New Mexico. Everybody there loved his Red Chili BBQ sauce. His mule Ruby was another story. She like to break out of her corral, go to one or another of the nearby farms, and eat the apples or flowers there. The neighbors tolerated Ruby, though, because they knew Uncle Mabe would bring them jars of his tasty Red Chili BBQ sauce when he came to retrieve the wayward mule. That's how this fabulous sauce became known as Uncle Mabe's Ruby Red.
